At AXUG, NAVUG and the Dynamic Communities Summits in Reno, NV last week, we surveyed 17 AX and NAV users to get a pulse on how they manage product data. The results were surprising. 

HERE ARE THE TOP 3 INSIGHTS FROM THE SURVEY:

  1. Product Data is Still Not Centralized.
    Most companies store product data in their ERP system, in unstructured image/pdf files, and a whopping 65% of respondents continue to store at least some of their product data in Excel spreadsheets. Think about the negative impact these data silos have on your eCommerce platform or, if you’re in manufacturing, how you manage your Bill of Materials.

  2. Customers are being Underserved
    The quality and availability of your product data can be a key difference-maker for your company compared to your competitors. Yet, only 18% of AXUG and NAVUG members surveyed believe that their customers would rate their product data as “superior to the industry average”.
